Rise is a non-profit that advocates for the civil rights of sexual-assault survivors. Amanda Nguyen founded the organization in 2014, a year after she was raped in college and has been on a mission to change legislation for sexual-assault survivors ever since. Nguyen was a Nobel Peace Prize nominee in 2019 and named a 2022 Time Woman of the Year.
Leaders from #MeToo, #StopAsianHate, Women’s March and March for our Lives have united to form the largest grassroots organizing movement in recent U.S. history. Furthermore, it is the most successful legislative reform movement ever passing 60 laws that has impacted over 100 million people. I support women who have been mistreated and assaulted. I am motivated to empower all women to be brave, lift voices and ensure they are all heard.
